Lizzo Shares Vulnerable Moment in Her Fitness Journey That Has Her ‘Feeling Really Bad’
Lizzo has spent her career inspiring fans to feel confident in their bodies, but she’s also not afraid of sharing her own low moments.
The 36-year-old hitmaker proved as much Monday (Sept. 30) when she shared a vulnerable video on TikTok opening up about a recent rough patch. “I overate yesterday and im feeling really bad about it,” she wrote in text over a clip of herself showing off a striped outfit featuring denim bottom.

“im trying to remind myself that my body needed that nourishment,” Lizzo continued. “and if my body deserves comfort then my brain deserves comfort too.”
The “About Damn Time” musician added in her caption, “If you’re going through this ur not alone ??.”
Lizzo has been keeping fans updated on her fitness journey for the past few months, sharing videos of her workouts and encouraging fans to take care of themselves as well. Captioning one Instagram post showing off her day at the gym, the Grammy winner wrote, “I accept my body as it is today & I accept my body will change. I love my body through all its stages because acceptance is a form of self love.”
At one point, the star clapped back at critics who accused her of using weight-loss drugs, writing on Instagram, “When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit.”
In addition to prioritizing her wellness, Lizzo has also been working on new music and sharing updates with fans who’ve been waiting for her to drop a new album since 2022’s Special. On Sept. 19, the Yitty founder posted photos of herself posing in a music studio and wrote, “JUST A LIL ALBUM UPDATE 4 MY REAL LIZZBIANS: I’m making the BEST music of my life— this album (like all my other albums) is a BODY OF TWERK.”
“I want you to listen to the WHOLE THING/IN ORDER with a glass of ur favorite wet stuff and ur heart open,” she added at the time. “This is more than music to me… this is my soul poured out and bared to the world.”
