Lizzo Shows Off Playful Bold 'Jellyfish' Hair Transformation
Lizzo is rocking a bold new look!
The "Good as Hell" singer has taken her hair to new levels of layers, rocking an angled bob over longer locks hanging down to armpit length. She switched up the color, too, dying the tips of the platinum blonde do pink, created by celebrity hairstylist Shelby Swain.
She debuted the new look in a series of photos uploaded to Instagram yesterday, Aug. 30, posing in front of a floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the city in a two-piece fit made of shiny metallic silver and purple and matte red material.
"??Lizzo-San??," she captioned the first set of snapshots, which were taken in Tokyo, Japan.
The jellyfish cut is a half short, half long mullet style cut, named because the longer portion resembles the tentacles of the sea creatures, which the rapper really showed off in a follow-up video captioned, "The bob is bobbing," in which she moved her head back and forth, causing the shorter strands to quiver back and forth like the head of a jellyfish, while the longer portion flipped outward against her shoulder.
In a final set of photos, she dubbed her new cut "Robert??," with one fan joking, "I’ve never heard anyone call a bob by it’s government name ????."
Others hyped up the new style, with one calling it, "A very classy look with an edge to it." They added, "you look fearless ??and flawless ????."
Some accused her of ignoring the ongoing accusations and litigation from a number of her former dancers, though she has previously denied the allegations of sexual, religious and racial harassment, disability discrimination, assault and false imprisonment, writing, "I'm hurt but I will not let the good work I've done in the world be overshadowed by this. I want to thank everyone who has reached out in support to lift me during this difficult time."
