Local gym hosts fundraiser for Boys and Girls Club, Wounded Warrior Project

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – A bit of rain did not stop The Club 24 Hour Fitness Center from holding its “Dead Lift Athon” fundraiser on Saturday.

The proceeds from the fundraiser benefitted the local Boys and Girls Club and Wounded Warrior Project.

“Dead Lift Athon” included a live DJ, vendor giveaways, door prizes every hour, a cookout and, of course, weight lifting.

“It’s important, really, for the community, right? We’re giving back to [the] community. They support us. So, that’s our big thing. Also, just bringing awareness to the club. We’ve got a great product here and want people to see that as well.”

Those who are still interested in donating to the fundraiser can call the fitness center at 423-282-2375.
