What is our lohud food reporter's pick as the 'best thing she ate this week'? Think summer
The unofficial start of summer means lobster season for me, which is why, for my "Best Thing I Ate" series, I headed to KEE Oyster House in White Plains for a lobster roll.
The buttery brioche roll, complete with the word KEE artfully imprinted on the side of the bun, elevates the simple sandwich to gourmet status. Infused with herbs and lemon zest, it's full of large chunks of sweet meat mixed with a touch of mayo.
To me, it tastes like summer.
Even better: It comes with housemade Old Bay chips. Being from Maryland originally, Old Bay is near and dear to my heart. Plus, I love the combo of sweet, salty and buttery.
If you want to know where I'm headed next, stay hungry — and stay tuned! The "Best Thing I Ate" is a new series, highlighted Fridays on the lohud_food Instagram page. You can also find it online and in print.
