On Sept. 12, 2001, newspapers across America sounded the news of the worst terrorist attack in American history on their front pages. "America's darkest day," read one paper; "Terror hits home," said another. Ten years later, many papers dedicated their covers to the anniversary of the attacks: "Sorrow and strength," one headline said; "Lives altered forever," another read.
