EVANSVILLE – How lucky we are that we live on the banks of the Ohio River and get to enjoy the peaceful river views?

Whether you like summer heat or would rather sit inside an air-conditioned restaurant and enjoy the view from the windows, we have many stops that let you enjoy the sun on the water while you eat your meal. Here are five.

Café Arazu was originally inspired by the cuisine of Persia, but the menu has broadened over the years and while you may still enjoy kebabs, hummus, lentil soup and more Middle Eastern Delights, you'll also find dishes featuring Thai, Cuban, Korean, Hawaiian and Caribbean flavors.

One of our most elegant steak and seafood restaurants, Cavanaugh's also has one of the best river views in town from the second floor of the Bally's Casino pavilion building.

Hot sun, fresh air, cool shade, and drinks from the bar await you inside Marina Pointe's open air dining room. On weekends, rock out and party late with live music.

On the menu you'll find lots of seafood dishes from shrimp cocktail to a massive fried catfish sandwich, flatbreads, burgers, fish tacos and more.

Across the parking lot, descend the ramp to the Dive Barge for a sandwich and cold brew.
