Looking for wedding vendors? Bridal, event showcase coming to Howell in September

HOWELL — Getting married soon in Livingston County? There's a bridal and event showcase coming to town; and you won't want to miss it.

Baxter Blooms, a flower farm based in Fowlerville, and Paige Nichole Event and Co. of Howell are organizing the showcase on Sunday, Sept. 22, at Cross W Ranch, 3111 Pinckney Road. Fifteen local vendors are expected to participate.

April Baxter, owner of Baxter Blooms, started planning the event with Paige Nichole as a way to meet new customers and establish a foundation of local businesses involved in specialty events. The showcase is not exclusive to wedding planning; events can range from bridal showers to graduation parties and beyond.

Baxter and Nichole hand-picked vendors offering high-end services, ranging from photography to catering. Most are based in Livingston County.

“I am very excited to showcase some of my event rentals and services,” said Christy Killen, who owns coordinating service Pretty Little Event Co. “It’s a great opportunity to get your name out in the community."

Baxter and Nichole plan to make the showcase an annual event.

“Without a storefront, I think it’s important to be creative with your approach and find other ways to get yourself out there,” Baxter said.
