After a five-year hiatus, the music and youth culture-driven brand relaunched last week with a collection that celebrates its indie sleaze root. “Expressive yet affordable denim” embodies the brand’s edgy style, spanning high stretch to “radically loose” and anti-fit designs, the brand stated.

The core denim range includes seven distinct fits for women: Sleezy Low, Sleezie High, Sleezie Straight, Booty Bei, Flare Low, Anti Low, and Poser. For men, the collection features six primary fits: Rad Super, Looser, Boo Bootleg, Anti, Issue, and Sleeze.

Novelty finishes like dirt, spray, worn, and torn in shades of blue, black, and grey emphasizes Cheap Monday’s underground aesthetic. The launch also includes a limited capsule of jersey tops.

American singer, influencer, and personality Nessa Barrett stars in the collection’s campaign. “Known for her unfiltered gothic pop sound and openness about mental health, Nessa Barrett manifests the brand’s spirit, motivating individuals to embrace their true selves,” said Alice Shulman, design lead at Cheap Monday. “At its core, Cheap Monday is all about confidently expressing identities, and Nessa Barrett hits this broad spectrum of creativity. She’s salty and such a goddess at the same time; she’s just up for it, up for the real thing.”

Cheap Monday was originally established in 2004 and gained a loyal following for its skinny jeans. The brand shut down in 2019 citing negative sales. H&M Group announced plans to revive the brand in 2023 by folding it into denim-focused sister brand Weekday.

7 For All Mankind

7 For All Mankind tapped Devon Lee Carlson, influencer and founder of Wildflower Cases, to be the face of its Fall 2024 global campaign.

Dressing with confidence and embracing individuality is at the crux of the campaign. Shot by creative and entrepreneur Theo Liu, the campaign shows the 7 For All Mankind through a “fresh and unexpected new lens,” the denim and ready-to-wear brand stated.

Wide-leg jeans anchor 7 For All Mankind’s women’s collection for fall with key pieces being snake print wide-leg jeans, wide-leg cargo jeans and palazzo-style jeans. Leather jackets, trousers and silk bow blouses elevate the collection.

“This is the start of our journey, a transformation from a brand people trust to a brand people love. We are feeling good about the new product—innovative denim with a point of view, premium leather, shearling, cashmere and more. Duer

Performance lifestyle brand Duer launched a new collection of Stretch Canvas bottoms for men and women.

Like it did with performance denim, the brand aims to modernize the tried-and-true classic textile to meet the needs of the modern active lifestyle. The proprietary Stretch Canvas weave integrates 360-degree stretch fibers and Duer’s signature motion gusset for maximum range of movement and comfort in any situation.

The fabric is a blend of 93 percent cotton for breathability, 5 percent Lycra T400 and 2 percent elastane for stretch and shape retention. It is finished with a DWR light-rain repellent treatment for added outdoor protection.

The canvas also uses a dyeing technique like denim, allowing it to have a worn-in look over time. Colors include black, teak and pine.

“Historically canvas is a heavy, rigid material used to make durable workwear, and I saw an opportunity for a more versatile, sophisticated fabric that meets the needs of today’s active customer,” said Gary Lenett, Duer founder. “Our approach to Stretch Canvas is a testament to Duer’s philosophy of reimagining classic jeanswear to create elevated performance apparel designed to move with you.”

The Stretch Canvas collection includes a men’s 7-pocket pant, and women’s utility pants and overalls. The collection retails for $149-$169.
