  • Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have resigned from their country club amid a bunch of insane drama.

  • The couple are expected to serve jail time for their part in the college admissions scandal.

Today in THE COLLEGE ADMISSIONS SCANDAL, Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli are dealing with all kinds of drama surrounding their country club membership. Which, yeah, sounds about right.

Apparently, ever since these two scammed their daughters' way into college, things with their elite circle of fellow rich people at the Bel-Air club have been tense. According to a People source, the pair have "lost friends ever since the college scandal unfolded," and "People have been very critical about their actions. The backlash has been intense. They have been members of the country club for many years. Their current house even overlooks the golf course. Many of their friends are members as well."

But it's become all kinds of complicated. According to TMZ, the country club's Board of Directors "unanimously" voted to suspend Lori and Mossimo's membership, but originally said that it would be "lifted after they serve their time,"—prompting former club president Michael Gallagher to write a salty letter saying "This unprecedented board decision to allow felons to continue as members causes irreparable reputational harm to the Club and its members."

"The board action, taken on behalf of the Club's membership, now establishes our Club as a place of refuge and comfort for known felons," he said. "This matter is already well known in the golfing world, domestically and internationally, and our Club has become a laughingstock."

Lord knows we have can't have "the golfing world" become a laughingstock!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, everything's been so dramatic and fraught that Lori and Mossimo have "voluntarily resigned much to the disappointment of many of the members and the board," and they're "upset" it's come to this. "The club has been an important part of their social life for a long time," the source tells People. "They didn’t want to resign, but also felt they didn’t want to be a part of drama and hostility. They were upset about it, but felt like they had no choice. They didn’t feel welcomed."

As a reminder, Lori and Mossimo are expected to serve brief prison sentences for their part in the college admissions scandal, so, you'd think their country club would be the least of their concerns, but yeah.
