Lori Loughlin's Daughter Bella Is 'Extremely Concerned' Her Parents Are Going to Get Divorced

From ELLE

Us Weekly devoted its cover story this week to the state of Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli's marriage as they continue to fight their charges in the college admissions cheating scandal. The two are accused of paying $500,000 to make it appear their daughters Olivia Jade and Bella were rowing team recruits to guarantee their admission to the University of Southern California.

Despite the united front in public, Lori and Mossimo are struggling behind closed doors, a source said. “Their daughter Bella [who still lives with them] is extremely concerned they’re going to get divorced,” the source said. (Olivia Jade has moved out.)

A source told the outlet that Lori really "regrets" not taking a plea deal like Felicity Huffman did. Because Lori and Mossimo pled not guilty, they were indicted with an extra charge—money laundering—that carries a 20-year maximum jail sentence on its own. With their other charges, they face a maximum of 40 years in jail each.

"Lori was inclined to take the deal, but Mossimo said it would ruin both of their careers," the source said. "He is expecting to be fully exonerated and will refuse any other plea-deal offers."

Another insider told the outlet that Lori's friends think she should end things with Mossimo. "Her friends think she should leave him,” that source said. “But Lori refuses and says the ordeal has made them stronger.”

Us was told by a source that now, Lori "realizes the severity of the situation" in their trial.
