Louis Vuitton is the latest brand embracing its Y2K legacy.

The French luxury brand is ringing in 2024 with LV Remix, a revival of 2000s-era styles including the monogrammed denim styles made famous by then-Louis Vuitton creative director Marc Jacobs. In a statement, Louis Vuitton said the collection “builds upon its iconic legacy, one that is linked to a trend-setting period in culture.”

The 134-piece collection spans ready-to-wear, handbags, footwear and other small accessories. Each remixed piece pulls inspiration from the brand’s Monogram Vernis, a glossy leather collection launched in 2000, or the Monogram Denim collection from 2005.

Highlights in the LV Remix denim handbag range include the Nano Speedy, Papillon, CarryAll MM, Croissant MM, Sunset and Hills Pouchette. The Venice backpack and High Rise fanny pack plays into the fashion era’s laid-back vibe. Each bag is made with GOTS-certified stonewashed Monogram Denim fabric and is finished with the same gold-color hardware and natural cowhide leather as the original styles.

Platform clogs, mules, sandals, boots, heels, ballet flats, espadrilles and sneakers feature uppers made with the monogramed material. Other accessories include a Monogram Denim carry-on suitcase, shawl, cap and belt.

Louis Vuitton gives its Damier motif an indigo update as well with a jacket and jeans decked out with the checkerboard print.

Styles inspired by the Monogram Vernis collection inject a pop of Y2K color. Handbags are refreshed with glossy leather in pastel purple, blue and yellow, and flashes of hot pink.

“Bridgerton” actress Phoebe Dynevor, “Pretty Little Liars” actress Shay Mitchell and musicians Nano Ouyang and Lous & the Yakuza bring the collection to life in a Y2K-inspired campaign.

Retail prices for items in the LV Remix collection top out at $11,100, but they might be worth the investment. Underscoring denim’s durability and longevity, original Monogrammed Denim handbags are fetching a pretty penny on resale sites.

The RealReal is a selling vintage Monogram Denim Neo Speedy for $1,295 and a vintage Mini Pleaty for $1,645.
