‘Love It or List It’ Star Hilary Farr Is Getting Her Own HGTV Show Called 'Tough Love'
Hilary Farr is already known for giving clients tough love on her HGTV hit Love It or List It with David Visentin. Now she's striking out on her own with a new show aptly titled— you guessed it—Tough Love with Hilary Farr.
Fans can look forward to eight, hour-long episodes of the new series, according to Hilary's website. But you probably have a few more questions about what to expect—and we have answers below!
So, what is "Tough Love" about?
In Tough Love, Hilary will use her design expertise and life experiences to help stressed-out families create beautiful and functional living spaces that they love.
“As a mother, business owner, and life partner, I’ve been through my fair share of struggles and challenges,” Hilary says. “I know that when life gets messy, having a home that is both beautiful and functional goes a long way toward alleviating stress. Developing creative solutions for living space challenges and using design to improve how families live together are my passions and they are the reasons I love being an interior designer.”
We love this concept and can't wait to watch the show! Hilary seems just as excited as we are.
She recently took to her Instagram to share the news with all of her fans, giving a winking nod to her notorious no-nonsense persona by joking: "Why do they call it Tough Love? Can't imagine."
When does "Tough Love" premiere?
The eight-episode season won't premiere until sometime in late 2021, and unfortunately we don't have any more specific details about when. It's always good to have something to look forward to, though!
Where can I watch it?
Fans will be able to watch Tough Love on HGTV. It's unclear at this time whether the show will also be available on the streaming service Discovery+, which is already home to some of our favorite HGTV home improvement series.
Until then, we'll be getting our Hilary Farr fix by catching up on old episodes of Love It or List It. And don't worry, Hilary will still join her co-host, real estate expert David Visentin, on the new season, which she confirmed is filming now. Yay!
