Love to sing? Capitol Civic Centre Community Chorale starts rehearsals soon and no experience is required to join.
MANITOWOC – Capitol Civic Centre Community Chorale will begin rehearsals Sept. 16 and new members are welcome to join.
Here’s more about the chorale, its repertoire and what it costs to join.
Any level of singing experience is welcome and the repertoire is wide ranging.
The chorale’s repertoire includes classic songs, Broadway numbers, modern music and original songs.
Anyone of any singing experience is welcome to join. Members' experience ranges from those who have never sung in a choir previously to singers with music degrees.
The chorale is a chance to learn new songs, share the joy of singing with a group and perform at the Capitol, a news release said.
What does membership cost and what’s included?
Membership for the fall/winter session, which leads up to the Dec. 3 holiday concert at the Capitol, is $75.
That cost covers all rehearsals and a comp ticket to the December concert, which will feature a Bernstein “West Side Story” medley, two new Christmas compositions by Joseph Martin and more.
The spring session will kick off after the new year in preparation for a May concert. The cost is also $75 for that session.
Those who participate in both fall/winter and spring sessions and pay in advance pay $140.
