With July 4 just around the corner, you might be preparing to host a barbecue for friends and family. And if so, there are probably a couple of items on your to-buy list: an extra table and chairs, some plants to spiff up your outdoor space, or, you know, an actual grill (hey, everyone’s put the cart before the horse at some point!).

If any of this sounds like you, you’re likely also wondering the following question: Is Lowe’s open on the Fourth of July? The home improvement store sells all of those backyard essentials (and so much more), so it’s a great one-stop shop to make sure your BBQ is the best on the block. Well, wonder no more and breathe a sigh of relief, because a store rep confirmed that Lowe’s will be open on July 4, 2024, and all locations will close at 8 p.m.

Those hours are slightly different than usual; many locations are often open until 10 p.m. Be sure to check your closest location’s hours on the Lowe’s website to confirm before heading out. But the store’s open doors are good news, considering Lowe’s closed all of its locations for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

That’s great news for your grilling plans, but don’t forget to check out some non-BBQ items while you’re there, too. For instance, Lowe’s sells the user- and editor-favorite Shark steam mop and often puts it on sale, so if you spot it while you’re shopping, throw it in your cart. After all, you’ll want to be prepared in the event of barbecue sauce stains.

“I clean my floors daily. I THOUGHT they were clean, until I used this steam cleaner. Amazing. I have marble and hardwood in my custom-built home. This is a must!” a reviewer wrote of the steam mop. And don’t forget to browse the amazing Fourth of July sale, which includes deals on major appliances, like washers, dryers, and refrigerators.
