'Lucky' Michael J. Fox Reacts to His Documentary's Recent Honor

Michael J. Fox is celebrating a major accomplishment for his documentary, Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie. 

As announced on Wednesday, July 12, Fox's Apple TV+ film earned a total of seven nominations for the 2023 Emmy Awards, the most of any nonfiction film or series.

In addition to nods for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series and Outstanding Directing for a Documentary/Nonfiction Program for Academy Award-winning director Davis Guggenheim, the film was also recognized in the categories for cinematography, picture editing, music composition, sound editing and sound mixing.

Fox took to Instagram on Wednesday after the announcement to celebrate the good news, sharing a photo of the movie cover.

"Who knew it took so many talented people to tell one man's story?" the 62-year-old wrote in his caption, while calling himself, "lucky to be that man, who had the benefit of all of your skills to tell my story."

"Congratulations on 7 #emmynominations and thanks for the great work!" he added, giving credit to everyone who made the movie happen.

"We are lucky to live in a world with a Michael J Fox," one of his loyal fans gushed in the comments, while someone else wrote, "This was a fantastic film. Congratulations! ??."

"This film is beautiful. What an amazing man you are, and what a wife you have," another adoring fan wrote, giving a special shoutout to Fox's longtime wife, Tracy Pollan, who has stood by his side throughout the retired actor's long battle with Parkinson's Disease.

"I love you man. This had me in tears towards the end," someone else wrote in the comments. "You are genuinely a great human being."
