Lucy Liu Addresses Rumor of ‘Charlie’s Angels 3’
The actress played Alex Munday in the fan-favorite film.
Lucy Liu is opening up about how she feels about reprising her role as Alex Munday for a potential Charlie's Angels 3.
While chatting with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, the host, 48, asked how Liu, 54, feels about starring in a third installment of the beloved film that debuted in 2000.
"I want to talk about this because it's going around the internet, and I want to get your take on it," Fallon admitted, adding, "Our pal, Drew Barrymore–who we love–said last month she'd be up for making another Charlie's Angels if you and Cameron [Diaz] were up for it as well."
Liu was quick to react and instantly started laughing, yelling, "What!"
"No pressure," Liu quipped. "I mean, it's – lets just say, guys, it's been 23 years. It's been a long time."
"It's going to be a different iteration of the Charlie's Angels I guess," she said, adding, "But you know, I love them so much. It would be really fun to do anything with them, but like I just, it's so – it seems like it was yesterday, and it seems like it was so far away at the same time."
Last Oct., Barrymore opened up on an episode of her Drew's News podcast about reprising her role as Dylan Sanders in the beloved film.

"I just was watching Lucy, funny enough, who I was texting with this morning. And she was at Comic-Con for the new Shazam movie and they asked her, 'Would you do a Charlie's [Angels] 3?' And I was on the edge of my seat," Barrymore said.
"I would be surprised if any one of us ever decreed that we wouldn't [do a third movie]," she added. "I would. I would in a heartbeat. The answer is an emphatic yes. I will always say yes."
It seems like fans will just have to wait and see if this wish comes to fruition, but fingers crossed that we get a new Charlie's Angels film!
