Luke Bryan is hitting the open road with his 15-year-old son, Bo.
The country crooner detailed his experience raising a teenager, which also includes teaching Bo how to drive, during an episode of on Audacy’s Katie & Company podcast.
"He’s 15, so he’s doing the whole learning permit nightmare," Bryan told Katie Neal of the exciting yet stressful milestone for both parents and teens.
He divulged the task hasn’t been easy, noting that his eldest is “not a very good driver right now so we’re having to work with him pretty hard."
Bryan, who shares Bo with wife Caroline, further detailed that the process is "very frustrating right now 'cause he thinks he knows how to drive, but he has no idea what he’s doing."
As for Bo’s confidence, he believes the teen is convinced that since “he can operate a 4-wheeler or Polaris that he is quite proficient.”
“He is not, I can assure you,” the American Idol judge clarified.
In Tennessee, where Bryan and his family live, teenagers can obtain a learner’s permit starting at 15.
In May, Caroline shared an Instagram video of Bo in the driver’s seat, revealing that he “got his driver’s permit,” adding, “Some of y’all might want to take the bus for a while! ?? ?? Here we go!!”
"I’m terrified," she joked in the clip before asking her son if he was excited. “
"Yup," Bo swiftly answered, making just one request: "Just don’t be screaming when I drive, please?"
Caroline honestly replied, “I make no promises.”
In addition to Bo, Bryan and Caroline are parents to 12-year-old Tatum. The couple also adopted their nephew and two nieces: Til, Jordan and Kris, after Bryan’s sister and her husband passed away.
