Lunchables Are Getting a Makeover Ahead of the New School Year
Everyone's favorite snack packs are getting a healthy update in the weeks leading into the next school year!
Lunchables announced earlier this week that the brand has partnered up with Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. to incorporate fresh fruit into some of their offerings. Starting this month, Lunchables with Fresh Fruit will hit local produce aisles in the South-Central region of the U.S., featuring the best-selling Turkey or Ham Cracker Stackers with pineapple, clementines, grapes and apples.
The brand came up with the smart new option after observing a reported 500 percent increase in searches for “Lunchables with fruits and vegetables” in the past year.
“Lunchables with Fresh Fruit is a ripe example of how we are quickly moving to introduce new offerings rooted in real consumer needs," Naor Danieli, Director of Marketing, Lunchables, said in a statement. "Teaming up with Fresh Del Monte helps accelerate the innovation our brand strives for, lending its expertise in fresh produce to expand the delicious, buildable and real food experience we provide for kids.”
