Lupita Nyong'o Packs on the PDA With Boyfriend Selema Masekela

Lupita Nyong'o is thanking her lucky stars for bringing Selema Masekela into her life.

In a sweet new Instagram tribute shared in honor of her beau, the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever star took a moment to show her appreciation for Masekela, who turned 52 on Monday, Aug. 28.

Masekela's birthday happens to fall on the same date as the anniversary of the death of beloved actor Chadwick Boseman, who passed away at age 43 in 2020. Nyong'o, 40, a good friend and former costar of Boseman, started off the day by sharing an emotional post in Boseman's honor.

Following her heartfelt post, she uploaded a series of joyful photos and videos of Masekela to celebrate his birthday on what has proved to become a very meaningful date in her life.

"And THEN..." she captioned her follow-up birthday post for her boyfriend, "the Universe saw it fit to bring this Sunshine Human ?? into my orbit."

"This day marks his introduction to life," she wrote, while adding, "Every day is full of #goodenergy and reasons to dance with @selema as my favorite playmate."

"Happy Birthday, mi amor!" she concluded her post, which featured an array of silly moments from the TV host and sports commentator.

Masekela reciprocated the love right back to Nyong'o in the comment section, writing, "sneaky, mi amor," to the actress, and calling himself the "luckiest man alive."

"My heart is smiling wide," he sweetly added.
