My Luxuries: Melissa Losada
Melissa Losada, one half of the design-duo behind luxury handbag line M2Malletier, shares the luxuries she would rather not live without...
What does luxury mean to you?
For me luxury is being able to spend time with the people I love, and doing the things I love most, like getting my favourite smoothie in the mornings on my way to Pilates.
Who is your favourite designer and why?
I don’t really have one favourite designer, I usually mix a lot of brands but I do have my go-to designer for the summer - La Bottega de Brunella. It’s a local Positano brand and it has the chicest summer dresses and knits.
Patent leather sandals, £645, Prada
Which shoe brand do you swear by?
Prada is always a favourite when it comes to booties or sandals.
What piece from your wardrobe can you not live without?
My Daniela Villegas custom-made earring.
Centro Studi Poltronova Ultrafragola Mirror (designed by Ettore Sottsass), £6,670, Luisa Via Roma
Your favourite piece you own?
My Ettore Sottsass mirror, it was a gift for my 30th birthday.
Are there any other little luxuries that you love?
I love my Common Projects sneakers and my silk scarves from Laos, they are always in my luggage everywhere I go.
Common Projects low-top leather trainers, £315, Matchesfashion.com
Do you have a favourite watch, or is there one you have your eye on?
I have a vintage Cartier watch with a black crocodile strap that I love.
Dream drive?
A vintage Aston Martin from the Seventies. I’m obsessed with them; the cars are so chic!
Do you collect anything, and if not, what would you like to collect?
I don’t collect anything currently but I would love to collect jewellery, I have so many different pieces already that I love.
