Proceeds support a number of local charities, scholarships, and Little League programs.

Even individuals battling cancer in the Hazleton Area are helped. This year’s event aimed to make an even greater impact.

The beauty of this festival is everybody’s local. All of our local vendors all of our local talent. So we showcase our community,” said Donna Delehanty the co-president of the Hazleton Italian Festival.

Among Sunday’s scheduled events a spaghetti eating contest and a special ceremony honoring veterans with a 21-gun salute and a complimentary meal.
