Madewell Is About to Enter the Beauty World

At the end of this month, you will be able to incorporate Madewell’s simple and low-maintenance aesthetic into your beauty routine, not just your everyday wear. That’s right, the big-name fashion retailer is adding its name to the list of those getting in on beauty—ASOS just announced its own line last week—and Madewell's curated selection, dubbed Beauty Cabinet, is not about to disappoint.

Carefully crafted to mesh with the retailer’s clothing collections, Madewell’s head designer Joyce Lee was said to approach the selection process in the same way they would fashion, resulting in a tightly edited line that is described as “simple, natural and effortless.” The curated selection includes just over 40 products, ranging from perfumes and deodorants to bath bombs and lip products, and feels equally as chic as it does minimalistic and simple (if you have shopped the beauty collections at Anthropologie or Free People, Beauty Cabinet will seem familiar to you).

Like the brand’s fashion, the beauty products also carry a responsibility for being made well. According to the brand, the available options will be either all-natural ("formulated using plants") or made with a combination of safe/nontoxic, minimally processed ingredients combined with plants. Selected brands include RMS Beauty, French Girl Organics, Vitruvi, Ursa Major and Bon Perfumer #1.

Beauty Cabinet will be available to shop in 21 stores across the country on October 23 and online the following day.
