Madonna Takes a Tumble Onstage During Seattle Concert

Madonna proved that even the best fall down sometimes during an uneasy slip-up at her Washington concert over the weekend.
The 65-year-old was in the middle of performing "Open Your Heart" at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle on Sunday, Feb. 18, when she was accidentally toppled over a chair and landed on her back.
She appeared to be okay after the tumble, which wasn't completely her fault as a dancer joined her for the choreography, which required her assistant to tip the chair. Unfortunately for Madonna, her co-star looked to lose grip of the chair and sent her toppling backward, per a fan-captured video, which also confirmed she "recovered like a pro."
After taking a brief moment to herself, the Queen of Pop rose to the occasion and continued her setlist–and dancing–as previously scheduled for her Celebration Tour.
Madonna isn't the only legend to have a bone to pick with choreography involving a chair in recent weeks.
Earlier this month, Taylor Swift came very close to taking a nasty spill during the first night of the second leg of her international Eras Tour in Tokyo.
The scary moment occurred during her live performance of “Vigilante S—t,” one of the songs on her 2022 album Midnights, which Swift and her backup dancers used chairs as props for. After gathering in a circle and with their backs to one another, Swift faced the crowd while lowering her body onto the chair. The 14-time Grammy winner apparently lost track of her seat, though, and almost stumbled off of it.
Thankfully, she found her spot and continued the show as usual–injury avoided.
