Madonna throws daughter Mercy a graffiti-themed birthday bash — and more epic celeb kids’ parties

Madonna’s daughter Mercy celebrated her 12th birthday over the weekend, and the star helped her celebrate the day with a nice, quiet day at home… just kidding! Like most celeb moms these days, the “Vogue” singer threw an impressive bash for her girl.

The proud mom shared video from the cool kiddie event, which featured at least one can of exploding confetti, some colorful wall art to match the theme, and plenty of other kids in a warehouse space.

Of course, Madonna isn’t the only famous parent to throw his or her child an epic birthday party. Here are a few others that are just as — if not more — impressive.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s daughter North’s “Kidchella”:

For North West’s first birthday, Kimye-hosted “Kidchella.”

Their version of the annual music festival included karaoke, a ferris wheel, and a tie-dyed cake, which North cut with the help of her mom.

Her aunts Kendall and Kylie Jenner were more into the dancing than the birthday girl. But it’s not like she was a buzzkill or anything — she was only 1!

Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy’s princess party:

Bey and Jay show off their party hosting skills pretty much every year when Blue Ivy blows out her candles, but her fourth birthday fete, with a fairy princess theme, was amazing. On site: dresses to be tried on, fairies to entertain, and bows and arrows to be shot.

Jessica Simpson’s son Ace’s Moana party:

When Ace turned 4 over the summer, his mom threw him a Moana-themed bash, complete with costumes, dancers, an elaborate cake, sponsored goody bags, and, oh yes, a backyard converted into the island from the Disney movie. Seriously.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s twins Moroccan and Monroe’s first birthday:

Dem babies’ first birthday celebration — way back in 2012 — was exactly what you might expect from the “Fantasy” singer. Their parents whisked them away to Paris, dressed them up in fancy clothes, and presented them with a toy Ferrari, a mini piano, a dollhouse, and more.

She shared the photos on the children’s own website, naturally.
