*This* Major Event from the ‘Bachelorette’ Trailer Actually Never Happened

From “right reasons” to rose ceremonies, there’s no shortage of drama in Bachelor Nation. Even so, PopSugar points out that ABC edited a little white lie into the Bachelorette season 14 trailer that never actually happened.

It all started when Becca Kufrin, fresh off being savagely dumped by Arie Luyendyk Jr. on television, met the hordes of men eager to be her suiter. She sipped cocktails, made a major mistake (*cough* Grocery Store Joe) and said goodbye to the dudes she wasn’t vibing with. Then, ABC cued up a teaser of what’s to come. One of the scenes showed Kufrin sobbing in bed and crying, “He literally just did what Arie did to me,” leading us to believe that some loser dumped her (again).

The following scene shows Chris R. berating Lincoln and saying, “It’s completely disgusting that someone would do that, but it just shows what kind of liar and manipulator Lincoln is, and I’m really hoping that Becca sees the lies.” One would assume Lincoln was the bozo who broke her heart, but one would be wrong.

As anyone who watched episode nine can tell you, Kufrin actually said “I literally just did to him what Arie did to me” after she broke Jason’s heart. So it was her that was doing the heartbreaking, not the way the clever editors made it seem.

We’re all for the dramz, but we don’t appreciate being lied to, Chris Harrison.
