Christine Quinn's gothic Barbie-themed wedding shown during the Selling Sunset season three finale definitely goes down in history as one of the more unique TV weddings. I mean, it's not everyday you witness a bride walking down the aisle in a black gown to the tune of "Sweet But Psycho," right?

We were big fans of her look. Her gowns (yes there were two!) were both designed by Galia Lahav, as Quinn's wedding planner, Lisa Lafferty, previously revealed to Metro. However, it was never disclosed who glammed Quinn up for the big day. A recent post from makeup artist Katrina Guevara is raising some questions about who was actually behind Quinn's wedding day visage, as well as some of her other iconic looks.

The Beverly Hills-based artist shared a screenshot of an article published last month by The Toronto Star. The outlet had interviewed the 32-year-old real estate agent about the work she had gotten done (breast augmentation and botox) since moving to L.A., as well as her beauty routine.

The article says:

"Although her extravagant coifs are the work of professionals, Quinn, who describes herself as “really, really artistic,” does her own makeup, including when she’s filming the show. 'Everyone does such heavy makeup and I hate it,' she explains. 'So for me, I was like, ‘How can I wear the least amount of makeup and make it look the most amazing as possible?’ I’ve perfected that over the years and I really love it.'"

The article continues to detail Quinn's beauty tricks and includes a list of products that she uses. However, as Guevara voiced on Instagram, Quinn did not mention who actually did her wedding makeup. Guevara also noted that Quinn gave quotes in the article that completely snubbed her or her work. "I don't have a glam squad. I just bring tons of products. I love to play around,” Quinn said in the article.

"The makeup industry is competitive enough and for Christine Quinn @thechristinequinn to blatantly lie and say she did her own makeup on her wedding day is truly distasteful and disrespectful," Guevara shared on Instagram. She further pointed out that the The Star used her photo in the article, a photo Guevara claimed she took and styled Quinn for, without receiving credit.

A couple scrolls down Guevara's Instagram profile and you'll find that exact photo of Quinn dressed in red. In fact, Guevara's profile is filled with several photos of Quinn all dolled up — and many are separate from her wedding day look or the photo used in the The Star. "Makeup by me on this Barbie Doll @thechristinequinn," Guevara wrote in an August 2019 photo of Quinn. Quinn commented a series of purple hearts on the photo and also wrote "Such beautiful makeup ???? ugh."

Now, if you take a peek at Quinn's page, some of her photos do include Guevara's handle, as well as the handles of other designers and brands associated with the look. However, Quinn typically doesn't provide written credit in her captions. Many of her photos are captioned with quotes or short and punchy sayings that usually do not run over three lines.

The Star article was originally published on September 15, 2020 and was updated on October 28, 2020. The update; however, did not reflect any changes regarding Quinn's "glam squad” or mention of Guevara.

House Beautiful has reached out to Quinn's publicist and will update if we get a response.
