And then there are divas like Malaika Arora and Shilpa Shetty who are usually great dressers but not every day is a sunny day for them. There are times when they go wrong and there's no big deal in that. Black and gold is one of the most solid combinations that we believed can never go wrong until Malaika showed us how. The ethnic lehenga choli by Raw Mango failed to evoke any 'wow' from us. And to make it worse, Ms Arora loaded it with every piece of golden jewellery available in her wardrobe. Result? It made her look gaudier and not gorgeous. We understand Shilpa Shetty's obsession with draping saree in a unique way each time but success is seldom achieved. The sharara inspired saree paired with pants, a one-off shoulder blouse, a waist belt and dupatta is how we would describe a mismatch gone wrong. Yes, she was able to carry it very well but a little credit for that goes to her tall frame otherwise the design is a strict no-no. Lavender is a pretty colour - yes but in an ethnic outfit - no. What was Kriti even thinking when she decided to opt for this design that is so 80s! So what if shararas are the new trend in the fashion world? It doesn't mean you take your clients back in time when anything and everything was loaded with embroideries. Even attires need to breathe. Try and keep your outfits as subtle as possible, they'll do wonders instead.

Ananya Panday is the emerging fashionista in Bollywood but she has a really long way ahead. Unless she decides to ditch anything as boring as this outfit. A multi-colour lehenga paired with a golden blouse is how local shops suggest you to dress up for festivities. Buy a golden blouse, it will go with everything they usually say. But we believe, Ananya doesn't belong to that league and she's here to score high. She can probably take some cues from her Student of the Year 2 co-star Tara Sutaria whose fashion choices are usually on point.
