Male passenger slammed for ‘rude’ behavior toward woman on flight: ‘Nope. F–k that’
Close your legs!
A Nebraska woman named Brenda revealed how a man seated next to her on a flight had no respect for personal space.
“This guy has his whole left leg in my leg space. C’mon! I don’t even know you! I hate not having an aisle seat,” she wrote in a post to the Dull Women’s Club Facebook group.
Although traveling in the middle seat already has its cons, Brenda did not expect the passenger to feel comfortable enough to open his legs so wide that they would rub against her leg.
“Why do so many guys on airplanes think they can spread out and consume other people’s space?” she asked, reported the Daily Mail.
The photo posted online shows the man’s bare, hairy leg outside of his seat area pressed against her leg.
Hundreds of Facebook readers confessed their dismay for “rude” manspreaders.
“Nothing more gross than a stranger’s leg in contact with yours. Especially a bare leg. Trigger for me!” one person commented.
“Why is it always men who think they can invade your space? Be subtle push him back into his own corner,” a reader suggested.
“I’m done moving for men. When walking in public spaces I don’t move out of their way anymore. Men expect us to move. Nope. F–k that,” a frustrated reader added.
Meanwhile, some women have created travel strategies to avoid dealing with overbearing passengers.
“This is why I always try to get the aisle seat so I can move my legs away,” admitted one traveler.
Another avid globetrotter shared that if she gets to the seat first she “always puts her leg at the edge of the boundary.” That allows her to “claim the ground.”
Unfortunately, Brenda isn’t the only woman who has encountered such cringey behavior.
As reported last year by The Post, a flyer named Claire revealed how a man took manspreading to new heights.
The unnamed space invader splayed his legs out so that one of them was shockingly stretched across the aisle into the space in front of Claire’s seat.
“The way this man took manspreading to another level on my flight,” a shocked Claire wrote online.
More women are calling out the unsolicited act, demanding that men close up their legs and respect others’ personal space.
In another incident, UK physician Dr. Neena Jha defended her space when a stranger brazenly put one of his legs in her seat space while her legs were crouched in discomfort.
In rebellion, she stretched out her legs to push his out of the way.
“I just stretched my legs out & he’s left in a huff!!” she said victoriously. “What a win.”
