Man works makeup magic to look just like Mariah Carey, Cher, and other diva celebs

There is a possibility that Mariah Carey’s high soprano notes can’t be duplicated, but her signature blushed cheeks, wavy mermaidlike hair, and flutter of full lashes sure can — especially when you leave it all at the hands of visual artist Alexis Stone.

Having already done approximately 50 transformations in as little as five months, Stone can transform his makeup to mimic some of Hollywood’s most celebrated. Ranging from icons such as Michael Jackson to breakout stars like Cardi B, he has put his skills to work by nailing down the details of these well-known faces.

If you don’t believe us, just take a look at the video he shared on Instagram below, which begins with him makeup-free. By the end, he’s a Mariah Carey look-alike wearing a full face of makeup and a blond wig.

While Stone admits to not knowing the famous singer personally, he sure knows how to carve out her features on his face. Everything from the wig to the cheekbones is nearly spot on. It’s actually sort of trippy how Stone is able to re-create Carey’s features to a tee. Impressed by his work, one person left the comment, “omg this is amazing,” and many others echoed the same sentiments.

In addition to his massive Instagram following of over 415,000, Stone has actually gained attention from some of the celebrities he’s transformed into as well. In fact, most of them have reached out to him personally. “Kim Kardashian liked my Cher transformation, and as you can imagine, if the most famous woman on the planet likes a photo, it creates a roll-on effect,” the 24-year-old visual artist told Yahoo Lifestyle. “Jocelyn Wildenstein invited me to NYC to meet her after transforming into her also.” He continued, “Most of the celebrities I’ve transformed into have contacted me unless, of course, they are dead.”

Before gaining fame for his makeup skills, Stone was a fashion designer. “Being that I was formerly surrounded by creativity, it wasn’t a big leap or a shocking one turning my attention to drag, as it enabled me to control all elements of what I presented online and to the world,” he shared. “It’s the same with my design work. Everything I know has been learned from trial and error.”

If you are wondering what has been Stone’s most intense celebrity transformation, he explains how anyone really young can be tricky to do. “Not only am I a man altering my features from male to female, but smoothing out wrinkles can be a lot harder.”

According to Stone, “There’s not a drag queen that hasn’t attempted a celebrity transformation. I’ve always been great at studying faces, so I thought, ‘Why not?’” His lips are sealed on what his next celebrity transformation will be, but we are sure it will be another mind-blowing moment for all of us.
