Mandy Moore’s Bachelorette Weekend Included a Ghost Tour, Jazz, and Lots of Food
Mandy Moore hasn’t shared many details about her wedding plans with fiancé Taylor Goldsmith, but she did open up to Ellen DeGeneres about her recent bachelorette weekend in New Orleans. The This Is Us star and a few of her BFFs headed down to the Big Easy at the end of October, in part to celebrate her upcoming nuptials.
“I’m getting married soon and this was sort of like a bachelorette girls’ weekend-y sort of thing,” Moore told DeGeneres on her talk show on Monday, November 12. “I mean, we just called it a girls’ trip, but my friends were lovely to take off on a Wednesday to go to New Orleans with me.”
NOLA has a famously lively nightlife scene, of course, but Moore said she and her girlfriends kept things pretty low-key. “We’re pretty tame,” she quipped. “I mean, you know, New Orleans people go and get pretty rowdy, but I think we were in bed by like 10 o’clock every night. We had a glass of wine and we’re like, ‘We’re good. We’re good.'”
Which is not to say they didn’t have a good time. “It’s the best,” Moore said of the city, which just happens to be where DeGeneres is from. “The food, the culture, the architecture. We went on a ghost tour. We saw some jazz. We did all of it.”
The singer-actress also took to Instagram to document parts of her trip, first posting a photo of herself and her friends with their luggage on October 24. “Girls’ Weekend. Game on,” she captioned the pic.
She followed that on October 27 with a series of photos of the group, which she captioned: “Eternally grateful for the greatest girlfriends who are equal parts spontaneous and generous. They’re always game for an adventure and manage to prioritize our friendships in the face of the busy lives we all lead (like going on a trip in the middle of week cause why not??) Nola— thanks for hosting us. We came, we saw, we ate all the food. Can’t wait for more with these [gems].”
