Mandy Moore's New Hairstyle Proves a Few Small Tweaks Can Make a Huge Difference

Before California governor Gavin Newsom called for the re-closure of hair salons and barbershops in 30 counties, including Los Angeles, celebrities were flocking to their go-to hair salons. Along with Emily Ratajkowski, Megan Rapinoe, and Salma Hayek Pinault, Mandy Moore was one star who was able to squeeze in an appointment for a much-needed cut and color.

Moore recently paid a visit to Nine Zero One Salon where co-founder and celebrity hairstylist Nikki Lee gave her a fresh set of warm caramel ombré highlights for a sun-kissed effect. The star also had a few inches dusted off her ends to bring her hair back up to a collarbone-grazing lob.

"Summer is full of fresh cuts and sun-kissed colors! LOVED seeing my girl @mandymooremm," Lee wrote in her Instagram post debuting Moore's summer look. Lee also tagged Garnier (Moore is the brand ambassador), so perhaps the stylist used the brand's products when she styled Moore's new lob into loose beachy waves.

Moore also demonstrates how a brand new hairstyle still looks gorgeous while wearing a mask. By following the post-quarantine salon safety protocol, the star is protecting herself and Nine Zero One's staff. Along with keeping Moore and those around her healthy, wearing a mask ensures that salons won't have to get shut down again.

Your favorite salon has reopened, but what are the risks of getting that much-needed trim?

While Moore didn't go for a drastic change after months of not being able to get her hair cut and colored by professionals, the small tweaks Lee made to her look are equally impactful. Plus, the highlights and trim will grow out gracefully, which is a practical move since there is no clear opening date for the salons effected by Governor Newsom's recent shutdown order
