Le Creuset 6.75-Quart Round Wide Dutch Oven

Sur La Table

Sur La Table

Le Creuset is an essential brand in my kitchen. I own a few different sized Dutch ovens, and they all prove to be high quality and useful. I love the larger capacity ovens, like this one, because they’re so incredibly versatile. This 6.75-quart size can handle everything from soups to homemade preserves. It has the classic design from the brand, with a cast iron base and an enameled coating. It has an extra-wide design, which means you have plenty of room to sear and saute, making it a great pan for braising or cooking one-pan dishes. It's compatible with any stovetop, and is oven safe up to 500 degrees F. Every single color is on sale, from a soft sea salt blue to a rich rhone burgundy. KitchenAid 5-Quart Artisan Stand Mixer

Sur La Table

Sur La Table

I use my KitchenAid mixer weekly—in fact, I am using it today to make some bread. I’ve used a wide variety of models throughout my experience in kitchens, including this 5-quart model. It’s a great mixer that does everything you really need. The 5-quart base is an ideal size for many different recipes. It comes with three attachments, including a whisk, a paddle and a dough hook. The mixer's speed ranges from one to 10 for maximum control. I love the tilt head design too, since it makes it easy to add ingredients in as well as scrape throughout the mixing process. Shop it on sale for less than $400 right now.

Emile Henry 9-Inch Modern Classics Pie Dish

Sur La Table

Sur La Table

Some people associate autumn with pie baking, but honestly, early spring and summer is when I am making them most. From catching the tail end of lemon season in March for lemon meringue pie, to baking up a sweet blueberry pie in summer, I rely on my Emile Henry dish for the best results. It's made with a heat-holding stoneware material that bakes my pie crusts and fillings just right for an even result every time. I love its deeper interior too, because it gives plenty of space to hold fillings and toppings like whipped cream or meringue. Its chic look just adds to its versatility, since I can confidently serve pies in it even on the most important occasions. Shop it on sale in every color now.

Zwilling J.A. Henckels Four Star 8-Piece Knife Block Set

Sur La Table

Sur La Table

I love this basic knife set from Zwilling as a beginner-friendly option. It has an incredible 66% discount, so now's a great time to grab it. It comes with a paring knife, a serrated utility knife, a prep knife, a bread knife, a chef’s knife, a honing steel and a pair of kitchen shears. All of these pieces sit in a neutral wood block that’s not too big at 10 by 4 by 8.75 inches. The knives are made with a durable high-carbon steel for sharp, long-lasting results. My family has owned versions of these knives in the past and they’ve always been a great place to start, especially if you’re just getting into cooking.

Staub Traditional 11-Inch Skillet

Sur La Table

Sur La Table

This is my favorite cast iron skillet. I use it for everything, whether I’m toasting the smallest amount of nuts to baking the best brown butter cornbread. The cast iron base from Staub heats quickly and cooks everything evenly, which is key for me. The textured matte enameled coating helps keep foods from sticking a lot as you cook, yet you still get a great sear on everything. I also really appreciate the larger diameter, because it works with so many different dishes. There are two convenient pour spouts on either side, plus a nice long handle and helper handle for maneuvering. I couldn’t see my kitchen without it, to be honest. Shop it on sale for your own kitchen now.

Emile Henry 13 by 9 Inch Modern Classics Rectangular Baker

Sur La Table

Sur La Table

This is one of my most recent kitchen purchases. I really needed a rectangular baking dish that functioned as a serving dish, and knowing how much I loved this brand’s pie dish, I took the leap on this. The design of it is what struck me first, because I love the rounded almost imperfect-looking edges. Now that I’ve baked it, I am even more happy that I bought it. It heats just as effectively as my pie dish, as well as having the same oven-, broiler-, microwave-, and freezer-safe capabilities. It's been great for sheet cakes and casseroles like lasagna and baked ziti. I know I’ll get use out of it all-year-round—I’m already looking forward to making summer cobblers.

All-Clad D3 Stainless-Steel Skillet with Lid

Sur La Table

Sur La Table

This is more of a wishlist item, but it’s on the way. I just bought the 12-inch size on sale, and can’t wait to start using it. It’s a mainstay for a reason (even for celeb chefs like Ina Garten) because of its high-performing stainless steel design. These skillets (available in 10-, 12-, and 14-inch sizes) are from the D3 line, which means they have an aluminum core sandwiched between stainless steel. The core helps with heat, while the outer layers provide durability. They can be used on any stovetop and in the oven up to 600 degrees F, making it perfect for anything from sauteing vegetables to finishing chicken thighs in the oven. I love that it comes with a lid, since I can use it to boil foods down a lot or to keep something warm. Score it for as low as $100 right now, depending on the size you choose.
