Marc Summers Is Returning to the ‘Double Dare’ Reboot, but He's Not Taking the Physical Challenge

After a 20-year hiatus, Marc Summers is returning to the small screen for the Double Dare reboot, but it’s not what you think.

Nickelodeon just announced that Summers, who hosted the game show from 1986 to 1993, will serve as an executive producer on the show’s revival and provide on-camera commentary during the challenges. (#Bless)

Unfortunately, the TV personality won’t resume his rightful role as host, but the network already found a worthy replacement: actress Liza Koshy (Freakish).

In April, Nickelodeon announced it’s bringing back the iconic series, which features two teams answering trivia questions and competing in wacky challenges to earn money. After a few rounds, the team with the highest score takes on the final obstacle course. (Think running on a human hamster wheel and digging through a giant, slime-filled nose for a flag.)

The Double Dare reboot will premiere on Friday, June 15, on Nickelodeon. If you need us, we’ll be brushing up on our trivia knowledge.
