Marcelo Burlon County of Milan RTW Spring 2018

Marcelo Burlon continues to grow the stand-alone women’s offering under his County of Milan label. The elevated streetwear designer veered into new color territory for spring, softening up his palette with a range of powdery lilacs and pale blues for cool girls about town.

His signature reptilian motifs were joined by tropical designs of fauna and birds of prey inspired by rave culture, as on a cropped blouse and cargo pants with an allover print or as details on cropped sweatshirts and chunky shoulderless cotton dresses that were feminine yet streetwise.

Skinny denim designs were given subtle animal prints, and check shirts offered a touch of grunge to the lineup. These were contrasted with the boxy styles of the sportier elements of the collection like baggy jogging pants, cropped sweatshirts and a cute terry-cloth hoodie with kimono sleeves.
