Margot Robbie Casually Recalls the Time She Found a Severed Human Foot on the Beach
Margot Robbie just revealed that she once discovered a severed human foot on a beach in Nicaragua. You know, like one does.
The Australian actress recounted the bizarre story during a live roundtable discussion with fellow actors Bryan Cranston, Armie Hammer, Robert Pattinson, Diane Kruger, and Octavia Spencer for The Hollywood Reporter‘s inaugural movie star summit.
"I recently did a film, and the director asked if everyone could write down the craziest thing that has happened to them in their lives," the I, Tonya star said. "I had spent two months with this group of people, probably about 60 people, and everyone seems super normal. And then everyone had to write down the craziest thing that happened to them, and it was released on the last day, and you had to guess whose story matched up with who."
Robbie, 27, recalled that someone had been engaged to the princess of Zanzibar, and another person was in a plane crash where only 10 people survived. "It just reminds you there are fascinating stories everywhere," she mused. "Everyone has a story."
Naturally, the moderator pressed Robbie for her story, which she nonchalantly shared with the audience. "I once found—and no one guessed that this was me—I found a human foot on the beach in Nicaragua." *Cue collective jaw drop*
"Oh, wow, death!" Spencer exclaimed.
"Just the bones?" inquired Kruger.
"And she uses it as a door stop," Cranston chimed in.
Robbie couldn't resist cracking a little joke about the traumatizing experience: "Just a little souvenir," she added.
