Mariska Hargitay Spotted With Oldest Son in Rare Public Appearance
Mariska Hargitay's eldest son, August Hermann, is nearly all grown up!
The Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star was spotted in the stands of the 2023 U.S. Open Tennis Championship in New York City on Tuesday, Sept. 5, and sitting with her was her teenage son, who appears to now be just as tall as–or maybe even taller than–the actress.
In the new photos of their annual outing, the mother-son duo seem to be enjoying the game and some quality time with each other. One image captured the moment the 17-year-old decided to cuddle up to his mother, resting his head on her shoulder. Others showed the two chatting, smiling and completely enamored by the talent before them.
The two stepped out in style, rocking linen button-down shirts and matching aviator-style sunglasses. Hargitay, 59, further accessorized with a fluorescent yellow purse and a fresh face of glam, which included a smokey eye, sun-kissed blush and a berry shade lipstick.
Hargitay shares August with her husband of nearly two decades and fellow Law & Order star, Peter Hermann. Though he wasn't pictured in the new photos, Hargitay did share a selfie with him on Instagram from the event. In the caption, she sweetly shouted out a few athletes the trio was there to support, including Frances Tiafoe, Ben Shelton, and Karolína Muchová.
Hargitay met Peter on the set of the hit NBC TV drama, and the two married shortly after, saying "I do" in 2004. In the 19 years since they wed, their love for each other has grown, as has their family! Now a party of five, the celeb couple also shares 12-year-old daughter Amaya and 11-year-old son Andrew.
Though the two keep a lot of their family life private, the actress has shared a few other snippets into their personal life recently: documenting their trip to an idyllic nature garden in Queens, posting pics of her and Peter's romantic vacation, teasing her recent jet-skiing adventure, and posing with the full family on the red carpet.
