Mark Wahlberg Is Staying Busy in Isolation by Working Out Even More Than Usual
If there's one thing that people can rely on Mark Wahlberg for, it's a workout video. Even during this era of social distancing, he is not letting his public down.
The swole actor has been posting even more fitness content to Instagram than usual over the last week, working out in his home gym and encouraging fans to keep up their own fitness routines as much as possible while under quarantine.
In the first video, Wahlberg is doing lunges and a variation on a jump squat. In the second, he shows off his medicine ball chucking skills, bragging: "The single ball toss wasn’t enough so we added another one."
Another post shows Wahlberg training his legs and core with a TRX exercise that he says can be done both in the gym or, more importantly these days, at home. The actor is also sporting cuffs for blood flow restriction (BFR) training, which has been proven to make workouts more effective.
"Hey everybody at home, make sure you're doing everything you can to stay as healthy as possible," he says in his most recent gym video. "Sanitizing, staying clean, staying fit, getting the proper rest, proper exercise, doing everything you can to boost your immune system."
Wahlberg's workout routine went viral in 2018 when he revealed that his training starts at 2.30 in the morning. Now that we're all indoors with a frustrating amount of time on our hands, you might be tempted to try his regimen for yourself. Although before you do, you might want to check out Will Tennyson's account of the day he tried to recreate Wahlberg's workout schedule — and how much of a commitment it was.
