Mark Zuckerberg Built a Octagon in His Backyard for MMA Training, But His Wife Isn't Pleased
In case you've missed it, Mark Zuckerberg has been heavily focusing on his diet and exercise routine in recent months. The Meta CEO does jiu-jitsu training and MMA sessions multiple days a week and recently admitted he eats 4,000 calories a day to continuously have energy to expend.
The billionaire Facebook founder's latest addition to his home is an MMA-style fighting octagon in his backyard. While Zuck is thrilled to have such a great training asset on his own property, his wife Priscilla Chan wasn't as happy.
The tech mogul shared a screenshot of a text conversation with Chan on his Threads page. "Did you see the octagon I put in the backyard?” he asked, proudly adding, "It looks awesome." Her one-word response—"Mark"—said it all.
Zuck pointed out that they aren't exactly living like sardines in their Palo Alto mansion. "We have plenty of yard space!" he argued. His wife, meanwhile, has been trying to make the lawn lusher in the spot where the fighting ring was set up. “I have been working on that grass for two years," she replied.

Zuckerberg's fitness transformation began in earnest during the pandemic. He took up Brazilian jiu-jitsu and trains with UFC stars for the best MMA training. In May, he proved his skills at a jiu-jitsu tournament and took home gold and silver medals. On Memorial Day, he participated in the Murph Challenge, which entails wearing a 20-pound weighted vest and completing 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, and a one-mile run. He finished the challenge in under 40 minutes.
Needless to say, the social media pioneer is ready to square up with fellow tech billionaire Elon Musk for their long-awaited cage match.
