Martha Stewart, 82, Finds 'the Perfect Place' for Her Latest Thirst Trap
Martha Stewart is still working on perfecting the art of the thirst trap, but she thinks she's finally found "the perfect place."
The lifestyle guru posed for a somewhat blurry selfie in a dark, foggy location with a spooky ambiance, shooting a sultry look at the camera. She appeared to be wearing a spaghetti strap swimsuit, though only the tops of her shoulders made it into the snapshot. Two glowing spots of light reflected in a pool of water below on either side in the photo uploaded to Instagram on Sunday, Sept. 3.
Her selfie cavern is located in Italy, at the Hotel Castello di Reschio—a 13th century castle that was reopened "by a very creative couple as a special resort of extraordinary quality," as she explained in her caption. "The heated pool in a stone tower was the perfect place for a new selfie! Dark. Candle lit. Mysterious."
She spent some time in the pool before enjoying a massage and a bath ahead of a birthday celebration for the 70th anniversary of fashion company Brunello Cucinelli.
Several fans were thrilled to see Stewart "back with the thirst traps," with one suggesting, "Martha breaks the internet…again!"
"My autumn mood board in a single image," another described, while someone else thought it made a great setting for a scary movie: "Please do a horror movie, it would be incredible."
Meanwhile, singer-songwriter Jewel called it "visual poetry!"
The hype comes just days after Stewart faced a slew of backlash for what some perceived as a "tone deaf" post after she shared photos of cocktails on a cruise where they chilled the drinks with chunks of an iceberg.
