Marvel’s Thunderbolts Star Florence Pugh Reveals New Costume in Behind-the-Scenes Video
Florence Pugh just gave us our first update on Marvel’s Thunderbolts since it was announced in June 2022.
It came in the form of a post on Instagram where the actress uploaded a short video of her on-set decked out in her character’s new costume.
"I know that I've kind of dropped off for a little bit," Pugh says, "But that's partly because I was whisked off to Atlanta to go and shoot a movie that I'm not really allowed to talk much about, but I can show you some things, sneakily."
In Marvel’s villain team-up movie, Pugh plays Yelena Belova, spy sister to Scarlet Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff. She debuted in 2021’s Black Widow, but from this behind-the-scenes footage her costume sports a few key changes.
Her leather jacket is now fully black, ditching the white arms of her Black Widow look, alongside the abundance of straps. It’s a much cleaner aesthetic, reminiscent of the last time we saw her cameo in Hawkeye episode 4.
Thunderbolts sees Julia Louis-Dreyfuss' CIA director Valentina Allegra de Fontaine attempting to marshal a team of MCU anti-heroes. That team consists of Florence Pugh, David Harbour (Red Guardian), Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost), Wyatt Russell (US Agent), Olga Kurylenko (Taskmaster), and Sebastian Stan (Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier).
How's it shaping up? Sebastian Stan reveals “There’s a lot of good things” in Marvel’s new Thunderbolts.
Thunderbolts releases May 2, 2025.
