'The Masked Singer' Fans Are Outraged That Turtle Was "Robbed" in the Finale
The Masked Singer crowned Night Angel (aka Kandi Burruss) its Season 3 champion, but many fans are furious about the results.
The top three finalists—Turtle, Night Angel, and Frog—were unmasked after their performances on Wednesday night's finale.
America's favorite musical guessing game came to a shocking conclusion on Wednesday night when Night Angel (aka Kandi Burruss) was crowned the Season 3 winner of The Masked Singer, beating out Frog (Bow Wow) and Turtle (Jesse McCartney) to become the first female winner of the series.
After Kandi's identity was revealed, the multi-talented singer, songwriter, and star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta took to Twitter to share her excitement about her victory.
"I finally can stop keeping secrets!!!!!" she wrote. "I’m so thankful for this opportunity to be on maskedsingerfox & I’m extremely excited to represent women & win the trophy!"
Kandi also announced the debut of her new single, "Used to Love Me."
After Kandi was revealed as the winner, some fans took to Twitter to celebrate her success.
But at the same time, many fans were voicing their outrage over Kandi beating Jesse.
This isn't the first time fans have been upset over a Masked Singer winner.
After the Monster (aka T-Pain) took home the trophy at the end of Season 1, angry fans protested that music legend Gladys Knight had been snubbed. And when Season 2 crowned Wayne Brady its Fox king, some fans complained that Chris Daughtry should have won. Well, you can't please everybody!
One thing we can probably all agree on is that our Wednesday night TV lineup is looking a little sad now that the latest season of The Masked Singer has wrapped up. But the good news is, we won't be left hanging for too long! The series has already been renewed for a fourth season, to air this fall with a whole new cast of mystery celebrities. We can't wait to see who the new contestants are!
