Matthew McConaughey Played Virtual Bingo with Senior Citizens and We Can't Handle the Cuteness
Matthew McConaughey hosted a rousing virtual game of bingo for a group of senior citizens as they self-isolate in their living facility amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The actor was joined by his mom, Kay, and his wife, Camila, along with two of their kids.
Alright, alright, alright. Now this is our kind of bingo night.
Matthew McConaughey and his family took time out of their quarantine schedules to play virtual bingo with a group of seniors at the Enclave at Round Rock Senior Living facility, and it resulted in some truly heartwarming video content.
In a recording of the Zoom call, Matthew is shown enthusiastically calling out a number that leads to two winners.
“We got I-24,” Matthew says, prompting one player to raise his board in victory.
“Richard is waving a hammer up high, we got Charles with the iPad up high. We got two winners!” Matthew exclaims as his whole family cheers along.
The senior living facility, located in Matthew's home state of Texas, posted a video of the call on Facebook, captioning it, "Thank you to Matthew, his wife Camila, and his mom Kay for hosting our residents for a few rounds of virtual bingo! Our residents had a great time playing, and they loved talking with Matthew about his family heritage and his favorite drink."
This isn't the first time Matthew has used his soothing Southern drawl to comfort fans during the pandemic. He also recently sent out some positive vibes on Twitter with a video urging fans to "take care of ourselves and each other in these crazy times."
"So yes, let’s see if we can make some lemonade out of the lemon that we’re in right now. Turn a red light into a green light,” he said in the video, before signing off with one of his signature catchphrases from the movie Dazed and Confused: "Just keep livin'."
