Matthew Perry Fans Find His Last Social Media Post 'Very Eerie' After His Death

Fans of the late Matthew Perry are finding the Friends alum's last social media activity particularly 'eerie.'
For those who don't follow the 17 Again star, Perry last took to Instagram on October 23 with a photo of himself taking an evening dip in a hot tub. The caption read, "Oh, so warm water swirling around makes you feel good? I'm Mattman."
Followers were quick to point out the morbid irony of this last upload, as, per reports from Saturday, Oct. 28, Perry died at the age of 54 after an apparent drowning at a home in Los Angeles, Calif.
Thus, it wasn't surprising when one top comment read, "Very eerie last photo ??." A second fan commented, "seeing this after he drowned to death… ??."
Another fan chimed in, "This is ironic. His last post is in a hot tub? RIP brother."
A fourth follower simply hoped the breaking news wasn't true, writing, "matt, no??please tell me this isn’t real??."
As for the details surrounding Perry's passing, TMZ reports that first responders came to tend to the Serving Sara actor, as a cardiac arrest was called in. Perry appeared to have drowned, as it's said he was found in a jacuzzi at the California-based home.
Though Perry had a very public battle with alcohol and drug addiction, addressing his journey in his memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir, the outlet reports that no drugs were found at the scene and no foul play is currently suspected.
Perry was best known for his work as Chandler Bing on all 10 seasons of Friends.
