After the death of Matthew Perry, who brought kindness and wit to his portrayal of Chandler Bing in the hit sitcom Friends that ran from 1994 to 2004, fans of the actor and the show headed to a New York City landmark in order to pay their respects.
Many traveled to the building on the corner of Bedford Street and Grove Street in Greenwich Village, which served as the exterior shot of the characters' apartments in Friends throughout the show's 10 seasons.
NBC News shared a video of fans gathering at the building, leaving flowers and taking pictures as they thought of Perry. LLN NYC also shared a video from the location, with a few fans speaking to the news organization about their love for the star.
David Caplan of 1010 WINS news radio station posted a few photos from the building at 90 Bedford Street on the night of Perry's passing as well.

While the building is a key location for the show Friends, Perry actually wrote and starred in his off-Broadway play The End of Longing at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in 2017, located a block away.
Along with his work in Friends, Perry was known for memorable roles in Fools Rush In, The Whole Nine Yards, Go On and The Odd Couple, among others. He was also very open about his personal struggles with addiction, which he battled his whole life.
Perry recounted it all in his memoir released late last year called Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir. The book gained great acclaim, and many continue to commend the late actor for his efforts in his own life and helping others suffering from addiction.
