Matthew Perry’s Friends costars reportedly gathered together on Nov. 3 to say their final goodbyes alongside his friends and family.
An intimate memorial service was held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles, not far from the Warner Bros. Studios lot where the group filmed the beloved series, a source told People.
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer were all in attendance for the two-hour ceremony on Friday afternoon, according to the publication.
The group, who truly considered themselves a family, as described by Jim Burrows, the very first director of the series, have privately processed the giant loss over the last week, releasing a brief joint statement two days following his sudden death.
"We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family," they emphasized. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss."
Perry died at his Los Angeles area home on Oct. 28, apparently having drowned in his jacuzzi, but the official cause of death won’t be released until his toxicology reports come in, despite his autopsy being complete. Perry struggled with drug abuse for much of his life, recently opening up about his addiction in his memoir, published a year prior to his passing.
As rumors swirl surrounding his cause of death, friends of the late actor have slammed the suggestion that he suffered a relapse.
