When we think of February, we think of two things: Valentine’s Day and cold, dark nights. But those aren’t the only things this month has in store—it’s also peak sale season for top categories like mattresses, TVs, winter coats and even tax software (boring, but necessary). With President’s Day on the horizon, many brands are extending their deals well past the holiday weekend to sell through winter inventory before spring finally arrives, along with a whole new slew of products. Contrary to popular belief, Black Friday isn’t the only time of year to think about upgrading your TV. While it would have been nice to have a shiny new LCD screen to watch the Super Bowl on, waiting those extra days will score you a much better discount. OK, technically this one isn’t on sale because Credit Karma offers free tax filing. Seriously, there’s never a hidden fee and advisers are on deck to answer any questions you may have 24/7. It also includes free audit defense, which automatically checks your calculations for errors before filing.
