Mayim Bialik is down for a Blossom reboot!
When asked if the series would ever make a comeback, Bialik told told Vanity Fair in late September 2023, "I'm happy to tell you that, yes, it's true. All of the cast and the original creator and producers are on board, and we believe a reboot can and should exist once the strike ends. We’re hoping to reboot it not as a sitcom, though. We want to bring back these interesting, deep characters—a child of divorce, a recovering drug addict, an alcoholic—to see them in a whole new way."
Blossom was groundbreaking for its time because it was a primetime sitcom that centered on a teenage girl instead of centering on men and boys with teenage girls around them. It delved into everything from addiction to first periods to sex, a rarity for the comparatively puritanical early '90s. It also gave us those iconic hats. Bless!

Is there going to be a Blossom reboot?
According to Bialik, everyone involved with the original Blossom is down to do a reboot once the SAG-AFTRA strike is over. As of yet, though, it hasn't been produced.
Who is in the Blossom reboot cast?
According to Bialik, all of the original members of the Blossom cast are game to come back. If so, we can expect to see:

Michael Stoyanov is expected to return in the his role of Anthony "Tony" Russo, Blossom's oldest brother who is recovering from alcoholism and drug addiction.

Ted Wass will likely return as the Russo family patriarch, Nicholas "Nick" Russo. The character is a single dad to Blossom, Tony and Joey.

It remains to be seen if David Lascher will be back as Blossom's on-again-off-again boyfriend, Vinnie Bonitardi, who was somewhat eerily styled like her brother Joey. We need to know if this childhood romance lasted the long haul into adulthood!
Courtney Chase as Kennedy Russo

We don't even want to think about how old a grown-up Kennedy Russo would make us feel, but it sounds like Courtney Chase is down to reprise the role of Blossom's younger stepsister.
One regular cast member not returning is Barnard Hughes, who starred as Buzz Richman, Blossom, Tony and Joey's maternal grandfather. Hughes died in 2006 at age 90.
In terms of recurring characters, anything is on the table except Mrs. Peterson, a heavy smoker and an elderly paramedic who worked with Tony, as the iconic Phyllis Diller passed away in 2012 at age 95.

Since it's not even in production stages yet, there's no time table for when the Blossom reboot will premiere at this point ... but watch this space, especially when the SAG-AFTRA strike is over.
