Mayim Bialik Reveals What She Knows About 'Big Bang Theory' Spinoff

Mayim Bialik discussed her potential return to the upcoming Big Bang Theory spinoff announced earlier this month, and what she could share with fans was that she doesn't know all too much—at least, not yet.

"If I am, I don't know it," Bialik told reporters at the Los Angeles LGBT Center Gala on April 22.

"I got the news like everybody else," she continued. "We're all still pretty close, so there was a lot of texting going on. And I asked my agent. He was like, 'I don't know.' I guess no one knows at this point, but I can't wait to find out."

When asked if she was interested in returning to the show–even if just for a guest appearance–Bialik, now 47, revealed, "I'll do anything related to anything like that," before reminding fans that the show's original cast members don't know much about its upcoming spinoff. "But yeah, we really have no idea. So I'm in the same boat as everyone else."

She also admitted that she's unsure what to expect from the new series, which remains unnamed and was only officially confirmed to be in development for HBO Max on April 12. The Blossom alum said she has "no idea" what she'd like to come from it, noting her former co-star Jim Parsons has found "tremendous success" with the prequel Young Sheldon.

"I mean, honestly, I've been thinking about it," the Jeopardy! host confessed. "My kids are like, ‘Well, Mama, you have to know,' and I said I really don't. I loved all of our characters. And we've had so many incredible guest characters. So I was like, it could be anything. It could literally be anything."

But only time will tell what producers have in store for fans of the original sitcom, which ran for 12 seasons and over 14 years after making its CBS debut on May 1, 2006.
