McDonald’s Is Finally Bringing Back Snack Wraps… Kind Of

It's been a long seven years since McDonald's discontinued its beloved Snack Wraps. Despite all that time, the demand for the menu item has only grown stronger. There's hardly a social media post from McDonald's that doesn't have comments demanding they be brought back. There was even one bold Reddit user who suggested that fans "unionize" to bring back Snack Wraps.

But at last, McDonald's has finally provided customers with an update on the famed menu item. According to USA Today, that update came during an annual investor meeting that took place in Chicago on December 6.

McDonald's USA President Joe Erlinger confirmed that the Snack Wraps will in fact be returning, but there's a catch. The Snack Wraps will make their triumphant return as part of the restaurant's long-term plans for the McCrispy (previously referred to as the "Crispy Chicken Sandwich") line. Those plans include a McCrispy chicken tender that will serve as the base for the new McCrispy Snack Wrap.

Unfortunately for eager fans, there's no solid timeline for the release of the McCrispy Snack Wrap. Additionally, this ain't your average Snack Wrap. There will reportedly be some differences between the McCrispy Snack Wrap and the OG Snack Wrap. As a quick refresher, the original Snack Wraps included chicken, lettuce, shredded cheese, and sauce all wrapped inside a warm tortilla.

Anyway, a win is a win. And in the meantime, there's always Burger King's Royal Crispy Wrap, which is their version of a Snack Wrap.
