McDonald’s Giant BFF Fries Are Going Viral—See the Video That’ll Make You and Your Bestie Crave Them!
If supersizing your meal at McDonald’s wasn’t enough, there is now an even bigger option: McDonald's BFF fries. The extra large container of the fast food restaurant’s famous fries has recently caught the attention of people worldwide, with everyone wondering, “Does the United States need them?” We dive deep into the fries and if the US will ever get them below!
What are McDonald's BFF fries?’
Buddy fries—or BFF fries—are an extra-large basket of fries that McDonald's serves in various locations worldwide.
They are most notably available in The Philippines, however before you plan a trip to try them, know that BFF fries are currently available by delivery only.
It's unclear exactly how big the BFF fries are or how much they cost, but one thing’s for sure, they’re crave-worthy—with one Reddit user writing “My bff would become myself.”
You can watch a video of them below!
Will McDonald’s BFF fries ever be available in the United States?
Sadly, there is no news—official or unofficial—on whether McDonald's BFF fries will be available in the United States as of now. This is not surprising, though, because many international McDonald's locations have menu items that are not available in other countries.
For example, Norway has the delicious-sounding Jalapeno and Cheese McFlavor Fries; Poland has a Cottage Cheese and Radish McMuffin; and Finland and Sweden have the McVegan Sandwich. If none of that sounds appetizing, try the Chicken McDo with McSpaghetti, which is also available only in The Philippines, or maybe the Tomato & Mozzarella Panzerotti in Italy makes your mouth water. Either way, McDonald’s is very famous for having special menu items in special places.
However, one thing remains the same across the world: their delicious fries.
How does McDonalds make its fries?
According to the McDonald’s website, “Our World Famous Fries are made from quality potatoes, including Russet Burbank, Ranger Russet, Umatilla Russet, and the Shepody. The suppliers we work with first peel, cut and blanche the potatoes. They then dry, partially fry, and quickly freeze the fries for our restaurants. Once in our kitchens, we cook them in our canola-blend oil so you can have them crispy and hot—just the way you like them.”
They then “add a small amount of salt” to the McDonald's Fries after they’ve cooked them in the kitchen.” They do note that you can still enjoy the taste of their ““world famous fries” without salt. Just ask for no salt when placing your order.
No matter how you have your McDonald’s fries, one thing's for sure: you can never eat just one!
